This is a project that I'm currently working on - titled Blue Heaven. I did the painting in various tones and shades of blue. The dragon I sketched in photoshop and laid down a flat blue.
Before laying down a flat color - I scanned in a sketch of the dragon - which was done in pencil.
The scan was set to gray scale at 300 dpi.
I've been working on several different things. Pulled up another piece that I plan on finishing. I titled it Snow White and Seven Mechs. The rough was actually an ink drawing that I found in my old sketch pad. I decided to makes some changes to it after scanning it into photoshop.
There were some changes that were made to the original image. I repositioned the hands and sketched out two side arms for her to deal out some serious hurt. I also started blocking in some nice frosty white tips for her short bangs.
