I think watching these speed paintings are rather awe inspiring. Though for a beginner, sitting in front of your PC with a WACOM pad, with no real instruction, can be somewhat challenging.
I've always been challenged with the use of compostion and perspective in my artwork. In the demo, the artist makes use of shade and tone to produce form, combined with perspective - builds an interesting composition in a matter of minutes. He developes the concept rather quickly, first building on the image using darks and gray tones, and finally adding color. For a beginner, this could be a bit of challenge, not understanding how shadows help to form three dimensional objects.
The artist just blows right through his concept in a matter of minutes. I think this comes with practice, though I've been painting and drawing for years - I'm still rather slow in comparison to whats being done in the demo. As soon as this is over I'm ready to sit down and do some serious painting.
This is the second website that I've created for the viewing of my work. I have both current and older pieces located in the portfolio section. Being a freelance artist by trade, I've been gradually attempting to escape the routine pressures and stale recidivism of corporate america. I want to hear the thoughts of my guest, and hopefully new friends around the world. I want to know what everyone thinks of my work and the work of other artis as well.
I'm looking for feedback from various venues, groups, or patrons. I'm also trying to learn and grow artistically - so any valuable feedback that can be offered will be greatly appreciated!
During the interim I will be updating my online portfoilio for viewing. I am avaliable for commision and free consultation.
